Yanah's debut album “The Girl In The Picture” (Flying Snowman Records) contains 14 pearls of melodic etno-poprock. The recording of acoustic instruments (fiddle, tin whistle, african percussion, tabla, didjeridoo, flute, guitar and piano) colour the songs with a Celtic, African or Indian vibe.

The title of the cd is based on the life of Kim Phuc, once the screaming naked 9-year-old girl in the world-famous picture taken by Nick Ut after a napalm bomb attack in South Vietnam. All profits of the song were donated to Kim’s organisation, supporting child victims of war all over the world.

January 2004, Yanah opened the Eurosong preselections on Belgian television, with “Yes or No”, after which she played a lot of festivals like Marktrock, Genk on Stage, and Terras Bilzen, as well as many cultural centers in Belgium.
